1. "BEING FAMOUS" -rejected

A rockumentary ,investigating the opportunities and possibilities of becoming famous around Hampshire and also following artists and bands from different music genres in their attempts to find gigs and record labels. The film will analyse the issues and the benefits of having a band or being an artist in Hampshire.

-Participatory mode, and many influences from Nick Broomfield's "Kurt and Courtney" and Michael Moore's "Roger and Me".

-Low budget, so booking studios, attending gigs or driving long distances will be an issue, however travelling to Basingstoke or Southampton would be an elementary part of the documentary.

-Each band or artist will be interviewed at their rehearsal room or studio, and most of the shots will be handheld or using steadicam.

-In some cases, the artists will be asked nicely to provide short pieces of their own music, not for advertising purposes, but for showing the quality and diversity of music genres.

2. "SMALL VS BIG"

An observational documentary about big corporations and small businesses. This film will look at humans reaction to the excessive growth of famous brands and the lack of small businesses.

-Being the observational mode, there will be no interviews and also music will be absent in some shots. The use of natural and ambience sound will be necessary.

-Very creative camera work, balancing between shots of factories polluting the air in order to produce everyday products and people struggling to keep their small company alive.

-The locations will be very carefully chosen, ranging from factories in Southampton and Eastleigh to small companies in Portsmouth and Winchester.

-Editing will be a key element in this production, also the use of transition effects such as cross and additive dissolve will be necessary in order to create a smooth visual style.
